Our culture has a lot to say about marriage and finding the right person to marry, especially to teenagers. We have an enormous load of expectations placed on us by the culture regarding what we are to look for in a future spouse, how we are to look for it, how we are to pursue someone, and when we are to pursue someone. The problem is, the modern church fails to bring these recently-invented traditions to Holy scripture and see how (and if) they conform to God’s stated will.
