My name is Trey Edwards. I am a 16 year old christian teenager who is dedicated to serving my Lord and Savior, and although my life itself is FAR from perfect, I not only want to lead a life worthy of my Creator, but I want to encourage other teenagers to do the same. The inspiration of this blog comes primarily from The Rebelution, a blog/movement that has greatly encouraged me in every respect of my daily life. It has given me the desire to live a life worthy of the God I serve, at an age most people consider to young to do anything besides have fun. The youth of this era have adopted the mindset that all teenagers should do is have fun and enjoy life, and to not take on any responsibility or maturity until adulthood. However, that is in stark contrast to what the bible teaches. As teenagers, we have a unique opportunity. By serving God in whatever way possible, and rebelling against the culture and all that it teaches, we can evangelize to the very youth we are rebelling against, in a way that no pastor can. What normal teenager, when they see us acting they way the Bible teaches us to act, would not wonder what drives us to live that way, and how it got us to where we are? As teenagers, NOW is the time to take life seriously. Not 20. Not 25. NOW.
Okay, enough preaching. You want to know who I am. Well, as I said, I am a teenage guy. I am home schooled, Christian (obviously), I live in Huntsville, AL, and I attend Grace Community Church. I’m a student working to improve my formerly declining study habits, and I enjoy debating theology and philosophy.
Okay, hold onto your socks, now.
My parents have adopted 8 kids from 4 different countries.
They still on?
5 from Russia, 1 from Kazakhstan, 1 from China, and 1 from Vietnam. Oh, and 3 biological (I am one of them) from America. There are 6 girls, and 5 boys. My oldest sister, Jennifer, got married, and moved to Michigan to live with her husband. They recently had a little baby named Annalia. One of my brothers has also moved out, and still lives in the city. My Dad is an engineer, and Mom stays at home and homeschools all of us that are still in school. Grandma (on Dad’s side) lives with us, and cooks all of our meals (with help from some of the girls). Our ages are 12-20, with me being the second to youngest. My Mom has a personal blog called Light In Earthen Vessels, and my parents jointly operate a blog called Adoption3:16.
Okay, go pick up your socks that just flew off, and then come back.
There, now you know all you ever wanted to know about me, and then some! I encourage you to comment on the blog as you are reading it, and leave a word of encouragement or constructive criticism.
See you around!

Amazing blog! This is AWESOME – that you have your eyes on hard things at just 15, by God’s grace. I am encouraged by your resolution, and again by God’s grace – I hope you will glorify God in all that you do with this blog!
Keep fighting for God’s glory, Trey!
PS – I’m adding you to my blogroll.

*Meaning God bless. I don’t do luck.
Thanks, Matt!
Great blog, Trey!!! Keep up the good work. See ya Sunday!!
Hey Trey,
I just read your ‘blog’ on Puppy Linux and couldn’t agree more. I just downloaded ‘wine’ from ‘the repository’ and saved it to disk and now cannot find it. How did you manage to download and install it, and is there an alternate download package manager to the existing one that can be integrated. I tried to send this thru the forum but it kept cutting me off – so I tracked you down here. Can you reply to me at vanberjo@maxnet.co.nz as I still have to go into windows till I get ‘wine’ sorted out. You are doing awesome stuff for God man, keep going Praise God!
John
That E-mail address is invalid. I tried sending to it, but it failed. I will post the body of the E-mail here. Please comment again once you have read it, so I can delete both comments. I would prefer that only stuff relating to THIS blog be posted here.
I do not remember how I finally got Wine working in Puppy. I do not use it (wine) any more, for the additional speed, as the Wine registry gets corrupted just like the Windows Registry, and, since it is a constantly running process, slows down the computer over time, which is one of the reasons I switched over to linux(speed). However, Glary Utilities works flawlessly under wine, and can be used to fix these problems. Anyway, back to your question…
Even though I do not remember how I installed Wine, I googled it, and came up with a probable solution, link below.

I will now delete your comment on my blog. No offense, but I would prefer only comments that relate to the blog be posted there.
In the future, if you wish to speak to me, feel free to E-mail me at this address (youthofeternity@gmail.com).
Soli Deo Gloria!

Hey Keep working for God, keep seeking HIS will!
God has a special plan for you!
Thanks, Linnea!
Hi, Trey
I heard about your blog from The Rebelution website. It’s always wonderful to meet other young people who live somewhat counter-cultural lifestlyes, and are committed to Christ. You are quite a writer, I must say. How long have you been at it? I pray that your blog has much success.

Great job! Thanks for the encouragement. Just by what I read, God is greatly going to use you. Don’t ever let the devil knock you down. God’s gifted you with intelligence and knowledge- use it for His glory!
God bless!
Wow, it’s great to know that there are other teenagers out there like me who see that there is something seriously wrong with the young people of today and how they choose to live. It’s amazing that your parents have adopted that many kids. Adoption is something I hope to do some day.
